First off. Our deepest sympathies go out to Bradd & Carrie of Blood & Guts Records and their families. You are in our thoughts…..

We will be playing for the ‘Serpent Girl’ cd release show at the Mad Hatter, Friday August 4th. Special guests Pain Link and Silver Cypher will also be playing. It is an ALL AGES show. Please try to make it out, Ash is back on the drums, so you know we will be playing all of the old classics. Eric has retired from the drumming duties as his son (my nephew) was recently born. See you at the show !!!

in the words of the almighty STYX, the SERPENT IS RISING

 That’s right folks, don’t touch that dial…….

I have the new VLADIMIRS Cd ‘Serpent Girl & Songs To Shed The Skin’ in my trembling hands. I have to say that I am proud of this cd. There is nothing that I would change about it in hindsight. The sound is the best we’ve ever had. I had the volume on 2 in my home stereo and it was LOUD. The mix is crystal clear, and each member of the band played exceptionally well. The songs bring back the feel of the old (1st cd) Vlads. The toungue-in-cheek horror lyrics, the sing-along “whoa-oh’s”, & the one comedic tale of an evil temptress. The cd will be officially out July 11th. The Vlads will be making an appearance at THE BRIDES show at The Madison Theater on July 12th.

We will be giving away copies of various Blood & Guts Records cd’s and general merch. including, of course, Vladimirs cd’s. Thanx to Bradd & Carrie of Blood & Guts for pitching in the FREE STUFF.

Serpent Girl (And Songs To Shed The Skin)

The cd really is coming out soon…Since Eric opened his studio he has been very busy. And my sister (Suzanne), his wife is due to have their baby in 2 months. But, the mixing should be done this week. The voice at the beginning of the song ‘Serpent Girl’ is that of my sister Suzanne.

The cd sounds amazing! The songs are more back to our old style. Catchy ‘sing alongs’ and a couple of droning dark tracks to keep you awake with fear at night. Of course there is one with that old ‘tongue in cheek’ humor that you all know us for. Anyway, it’ll be out soon. Check out Bradd and Carrie from Blood And Guts in an interview in the Bainbridge Review on the front page.

Doug….Married????

 Yep, the rumors are true.

Doug Nevels, bass player of the Vladimirs is a married man.

A few nights before the show back in December, Carrie and Bradd from Blood And Guts Records were out to dinner with us at BW-3. We were trying to do some shameless promotion for the show and saw a woman with some cool tattoos similar to the theme that Doug’s tattoos have. We told her about the show and that our bass guitarist was a single rock star. Her co-worker informed us that she too was looking for a good man. Bradd and Carrie promised her that if she came to the show, they would give her a free cd. Jeana showed up at the show, collected her free cd, and made an instant connection with Doug. They were married a month later. They are having a great time.

We all wish them the best!!!
